Post CPL action has finally arrived with new found GGL stepping to the plate in a new game for them, Counter-Strike. All the talk has been on new config CPL has announced but GGL will be the first league to give it a go around with money on the line, $5,000. To avoid the issues of cheating and provide a great tournament only the top eight teams have been invited with matches getting underway Aug 30th-Sept 2nd.

Traditional powerhouse 3D leads the crowd but no one can forget the recent American top dog NoA who will play from California. The new look u5 and TEC will both be involved, check out the full teams below:

    TEC
    zEx

GGL has decided to adopt the top rules from many of the recent LAN events jumping on the group play/single elimination style of ESWC but also introducing the best of three maps format from EverLAN. Also the new rules the CPL has announced will be used by GGL but instead with a 2 minute roundtime to help teams to start adjusting towards the future 1:45 roundtime of the CPL. A few other minor changes show that GGL is looking to step up on their own while they’ll look to make a mark in the community.

GotFrag will play its part to providing top of the line HLTV servers exclusively for the tournament backed by the always powerful ReconGamer. We will also be providing scorebots along with the HLTV for EVERY match with planning for some new features that should get fans into the game.
