Hoy en una conferencia PRE-TGS Microsoft anunció las fechas oficiles de lanzamiento de su consola NEXTGEN. Este era el último detalle que faltaba por confirmar, por lo pronto también se confirmaron los primeros juegos disponibles para el lanzamiento de la consola en Japón. Estos son : Ridge Racer 6, Frame City Killer, Dead or Alive 4, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, (eM)-eNCHANT-arM, Tetris: The Grandmaster Ace y Everyparty.

El argumento de Gears of War comienza en el planeta Sera, donde la raza humana ha superado los conflictos anteriores y ha entrado en una etapa dorada de paz y prosperidad, El desarrollo tecnológico alcanzado ha provocado que los habitantes realicen una búsqueda exhaustiva de nuevas fuentes de energía, hasta encontrar una nueva sustancia llamada "imulsion", que gracias al Lightmass Process, convierte esta novedosa sustancia en energía pura, provocando que las ciudades con mayores reservas de imulsion sean objetivo de las naciones menos favorecidas en términos de energía.

Este inicio de las hostilidades dio comienzo a las Guerras Pendulum, que duraban ya 79 años, hasta que una nueva amenaza apareció. Una raza llamada Locusts arrasó con la superficie del planeta y acabó con la cuarta parte de la población mundial. Los supervivientes se aliaron y se agruparon en una región llamada Jacinto Plateau. Escondidos allí, los humanos lanzaron un terrible contraataque, poniendo en órbita un satélite arma que destruyó el 90% de la superficie de Sera.

Desde esta ubicación los humanos gobernados por la COG, la nueva élite de la sociedad, formaron un ejército que defendiera el último bastión de la humanidad.

El personaje principal de Gears of War es Marcus Fenix, prisionero número 098356-GX, una auténtica bestia parda de casi 1,90 metros y más de 100 kilos de peso, encarcelado por desobedecer unas órdenes y salvar a su padre. Su odio hacia los Locusts hace que su rabia sólo sea comparable con sus habilidades con las armas.

Sin aliento debo reconocer que me quede al ver el potencial gráfico nextgen palpado con tal naturalidad en este pronto nuevo titulo de aquella grandiosa saga de terror a grito suelto; no pierdan la esperanza que quizás este haciendo aparicion Edward (eso es lo que mas deseo, aparte de una firme trama :) ).
Las imágenes fueron mostradas en gran sorpresa aparte en la feria XO5 como un notorio eslabon que en un pronto tiempo llegue a enganchar a todos los seguidores o fanaticos de esta consola y título.

Roban 10 kits de desarrollo de la Xbox 360 en Alemania

Lo único que faltaba, Microsoft ha perdido 10 kits de desarrollo (dev-kits) que se encontraban en un almacén en Alemania, estos dev-kits habían llegado a finales de Agosto a la ciudad de Düren junto con otros productos de Microsoft. Pocos días despues del incidente la web alemana smartxx.com publicó una serie de imágenes pertenecientes a supuestos dev-kits. Misteriosamente las imagenes fueron retiradas de la web a los pocos días, en ellas se podía ver el interior de los kits así como otros periferícos.

Por ahora Microsoft ha podido recuperar 3 de los 10 dev-kits robados. No nos extrañemos si el Xbox 360 sale el 22 de noviembre con mod chip incluido.

Despues de tiempo nos llegan noticias de este grandioso y declarado juego del año 2003, esta vez la segunda parte nos inducira como es sabido en la Segunda Guerra Mundial poniendonos en diferentes frentes; pero alli no queda la noticia, lo importante llega al saber que en el apartado sonoro estara (como lo estuvo en su primera entrega) reluciente y porque no decirlo, exquisito liricamente :) .
A cargo de Graeme Revell, toda una Orquesta Sinfónica interpretara ampliamente el repertorio capable en un titulo como este, recreando tambien ambientaciones locales del norte de Africa, Italia o Rusia :) .

Su salida esta prevista en Noviembre para PC mientras que para Xbox 360 unas semanas despues.

Dead or Alive 4: Nuevas Imágenes



Provenientes del supuesto "cameo" de Halo llegan estas curiosas imágenes confirmadas de parte de Tecmo como veridicas. Lo sucedido es que en esta edicion el mencionado titulo contara con algunos "invitados" tales como el guerrero Spartan visto anteriormente, tambien incluira por cierto a Ryu Hayabusa (protagonista de Ninja Gaiden); el título de lucha esta planeado a salir en diciembre.

Para todos aquellos curiosos (como yo) que quieren enterarse de algo más de la salida de Xbox 360 y las demostraciones acontecidas en diferentes paises les dejo el artículo hecho por Meristation acerca de la visita a su camion marketero, hmmm, interesantes detalles, disfrutenlo .
